Privacy Policy

We believe that personal privacy is a fundamental right. At Let There Be Lights, we are committed to being transparent about how we handle the data involved in providing our daily inspiration services.

Data Philosophy

Our approach to data is simple: we collect as little as possible. We do not track your location, we do not read your contacts, and we do not monitor your activity outside of our platform. The data we do handle is strictly used to ensure the mobile application functions seamlessly.

Information Collection

To provide features like daily image notifications, home screen widgets, and the gallery, we may process the following information:

  • Device Details Technical information about your device type and operating system version to optimize content delivery.
  • Anonymized Logs Basic, non-identifying interaction data to monitor our API's health and ensure images load correctly for all users.
  • Push Tokens If you enable notifications, we use an anonymized identifier to send the daily light to your device. This can be disabled at any time.

Usage & Protection

Your data is never for sale. We do not rent, trade, or share your information with advertisers. Any data processed is used exclusively for service delivery, performance monitoring, and ensuring the security of our infrastructure.

User Control

Because Let There Be Lights is an anonymous experience with no account system, you remain in complete control of your data through your own device settings. We do not maintain any personal profiles, and therefore "Revoking Consent" or "Erasure" is handled directly by you:

  • Managing Notifications You can instantly stop all communication and revoke your push token by disabling notifications in your device's Settings app.
  • Data Removal Deleting the application from your device effectively removes all local data and disconnects your device from our anonymous notification queue.
  • No Persistent Identity Since we do not require a login, name, or email, we have no way of identifying or tracking individual users across different devices or sessions.

Contact

Transparency is an ongoing conversation. If you have any questions regarding our privacy practices or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact our team through the contact section on our website.
